Earning Points

Earning Points

Earn points based on the amount paid for usage of accommodation, restaurants and bars, spa as well as other services and facilities.
20 points (2%) added for every eligible JPY 1,000 spent (including service charge, excluding tax).
Based on the number of points earned in one year from January to December each year, the point award rate for the following year will fluctuate.

Points earned may be redeemed for an eVoucher from 5,000 points or more, in denominations of 1,000 points.

Points Validity

Points Validity

2 years
All points will be revoked when there is no points activity (either earning or usage) within a consecutive two-year period.

Terms

  • Only one membership ID will be given to one person.
  • There is no admission fee or annual membership fee.
  • Even after membership is approved and registered, membership may be disqualified without prior notice if an
    individual is deemed inappropriate as a member. In addition, re-admission may be refused for the same reason.
  • The handling of personal information of members is in accordance with Palace Hotel Group's Privacy Policy.

Terms and Conditions

Article 1: Club Name
THE PALACE CLUB (hereinafter "the Club") is a membership program operated by Palace Hotel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Palace Hotel"). The Club Office is located at Palace Hotel Co., Ltd. (1-1-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
Article 2: Purpose of the Club
The purpose of the Club is to provide various services to guests using applicable facilities. The latest information on the applicable facilities and the services of the Club will be posted on the official website of the Club.
Article 3: Membership Qualifications & Application Procedures
  1. Individuals joining the Club (hereinafter "Member/Members") shall accept and comply with the Terms and Conditions herein.
  2. A Member shall be any individual over the age of 18, who has agreed to the Terms and Conditions, has undergone the prescribed application procedures, and has been approved by the Club. An individual who is applicable to any clause under Article 5 shall not be qualified as a Member. Corporate or Group membership is not available.
  3. Application procedure is available through either;
    a) the Club official website, or
    b) the Membership Application Form
Article 4: Issuance of Membership ID and Card

After applying for the membership in accordance with 3. a) or b) in Article 3, the Club will issue a membership ID as a Member by 1. and 2. below;

  1. After completing the membership application on the Club official website, a registration completion email will be delivered to the specified email address in the application with the Member name, membership ID, and date of admission.
  2. After logging in to the Member’s portal through the website, the Member name, membership ID, and date of admission will be displayed on the profile page.
  3. Only one membership ID shall be given to one person. If it is found that a Member has multiple membership IDs, the Club has the right to combine the membership IDs into one.
  4. In principle, membership cards will not be issued. If there is a separate application for membership card issuance to the Club and it is approved by the Club, one membership card will be issued for a Member.
  5. The membership ID and the membership card can only be used by the Member him/herself and cannot be transferred or lent to other persons.
  6. A membership card does not have a credit card function.
  7. If the membership card is lost, damaged or stolen, please contact the Club Office immediately. The Club will not be responsible for any damage, cost, loss, etc. caused to the Member or a third party.
  8. For reissuance of a membership card, a reissuance fee will be charged at the actual cost.
Article 5: Refusal to join the Club

If any of the following applies, the Club is entitled to refuse, expel or suspend the membership;

  1. When an individual or a Member has submitted false information.
  2. When there is a delay in payment or outstanding payment at the facilities operated by Palace Hotel Group in the past or at the time of admission.
  3. When an individual or a Member has failed to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Club and/or rules of conduct of the applicable facilities.
  4. "Anti-Social Forces";
    a) a member of an organized crime group, a related company or association of an organized crime group, and any other equivalent person of above; or
    b) a person who him/herself or through the use of third parties conducts a demand with violence or an unreasonable demand beyond its legal entitlement, uses intimidating words or actions, damages the credit or obstructs the business of the other party by spreading false rumors or by fraudulence, or any other equivalent actions of above.
  5. When the Club judges that an individual is not appropriate as a Member.
Article 6: Admission Fee and Annual Membership Fees
There is no admission fee or annual membership fees for the Club.
Article 7: Member Benefit
  1. Members can enjoy benefits offered by the Club by presenting their membership ID at the applicable facilities or providing their membership ID in advance.
  2. Member benefits will be announced and presented on the Club official website.
  3. Members shall acknowledge that the Club is entitled to establish, change or terminate Member benefits without prior consent of the Members. In case of any establishment, change or termination, the Club will notify the Members in the method specified.
Article 8: Granting Points

Points will be granted to the Member according to the amount paid for usage of accommodation, designated restaurants and bars as well as designated shops and services of the applicable facilities.

  1. Points will be granted when all of the following conditions are fulfilled;
    a) When the Member him/herself uses the accommodation, designated restaurants and bars or designated shops and services.
    b) When the Member makes a reservation with identifying his/her membership in advance or presents membership ID before or upon a payment.
    c) When the Member him/herself pays directly to the applicable facility by cash or credit card at the time of use, or when the applicable facility approves it.
  2. Points will be granted for payment with a hotel check or hotel certificate issued by Palace Hotel. (Please note that points are not granted when purchasing hotel checks or hotel certificates, but are granted to Members using the hotel check or hotel certificates upon payment.)
  3. Points will be granted for up to 3 rooms including the Member's own room (the Member's own room plus 2 other rooms designated by the Member him/herself). Please note that this is limited to cases when the Member him/herself stays and pays for all rooms directly to the hotel in the same statement by cash or credit card.
  4. Applicable hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and services are subject to change without notice.
  5. If the membership is disqualified, all points will be invalidated.
  6. Applicable amount of payments for granting points are as follows;
    a) for accommodation: room / package fee and service charge associated with it (taxes are not eligible),
    b) for restaurants and bars: food and beverage / package fee / private dining room fee and service charge associated with it (taxes are not eligible),
    c) for shops and services: usage fee and service charge associated with it (taxes are not eligible),
    d) when the Member pays a discounted rate, points will be granted for the discounted amount.
  7. Points are NOT granted to;
    a) amount of payment less than JPY 1,000 (including service charge),
    b) taxes (such as consumption tax, accommodation tax),
    c) incidental charges while staying at the hotel, such as minibars, telephones, in-room massages etc., and associated taxes and service charges,
    d) payment for facilities NOT operated by Palace Hotel (“Sushi Kanesaka” and ”Amber Palace” at Palace Hotel Tokyo, “Upstairz Lounge, Bar and Restaurant” at Zentis Osaka),
    e) payment of bookings made through a travel agency or online from sites other than the hotel's official website,
    f) payment through an organization, a convention or a group,
    g) payment for banquets (including wedding use),
    h) later payment on invoice basis,
    i) purchasing hotel checks or hotel certificates,
    j) usage of the following facilities; Keidanren Kaikan, Kaiun Club, Kazankaikan,
    k) usage of the following hotels; Palace Hotel Omiya, Palace Hotel Tachikawa,
    l) usage before the admission date of the Club,
    m) other than the above, when the Club specifies on the Club official website.
Article 9: Addition and Conversion of Points
  1. Points will be granted to one Member per payment. The Member will be granted 20 points (2%) for every eligible JPY 1,000 spent (including service charge, excluding tax).
  2. Points will be converted for the applicable value of each payment.
  3. Points will be granted on or after the next day of payment.
  4. Members can confirm the number of points granted by logging in to Member’s portal through the Club official website or by contacting the Club Office.
  5. After the admission, every year from January to December will be the evaluation period and the point granting rate for the following year will change depending on the number of points granted during the period. The criteria of the grant rate is as follows;
    a) between 0 ~ 5,999 points: 2% of payment amount*
    b) between 6,000 ~ 59,999 points: 5% of payment amount*
    c) more than 60,000 points: 8% of payment amount*
    *including service charge, excluding tax
  6. The point granting rate confirmed in above 5. will be applied from January to December of the following year. When the criteria is met during the evaluation period, the new point granting rate will be applied from the next day of the achievement date.
  7. When there is no points activity (no increase / no decrease) for a consecutive 24-month period, the remaining points will be revoked. In that case, the Club Office shall be able to revoke without any prior notice.
Article 10: Usage of Points
  1. Points can be used for payment to applicable facilities and services by exchanging points for eVouchers on the designated page in the Member’s portal. The latest information on the applicable facilities and services will be posted on the Club official website.
  2. When using an eVoucher, a Member is required to present the eVoucher which shows the confirmed eVoucher number and amount upon payment.
  3. Points can be exchanged for an eVoucher from 5,000 points or more (5,000 points = JPY 5,000). EVoucher exchanges of more than 5,000 points can be made in units of 1,000 points.
  4. The following are not eligible for eVoucher (points) usage;
    a) payment for facilities NOT operated by Palace Hotel (“Sushi Kanesaka” and ”Amber Palace” at Palace Hotel Tokyo, “Upstairz Lounge, Bar and Restaurant” at Zentis Osaka),
    b) purchases at the online shop,
    c) purchases of hotel checks or hotel certificates.
  5. Payment by eVoucher is not eligible for granting points. In addition, change will not be given for payment by eVoucher.
  6. No receipt will be issued for payment by eVoucher.
  7. The membership points cannot be shared or transferred.
Article 11: Change of Member Profile
  1. If there is any change to information provided at the time of application such as the address, phone number, email address, etc., please make the change through Member’s portal on the Club official website.
  2. If the Member does not make any necessary changes according to 1., and does not receive any contact or notification from the Club, the Club will not bear any responsibility. In this case, Members may not receive the Member benefits.
Article 12: Disqualification and Withdrawal of the Membership
  1. Even after the membership is approved and registered, if an individual is deemed inappropriate as a Member, the membership may be disqualified without prior notice. In addition, re-admission may be refused for the same reason.
  2. Whenever a Member submits false information, does not follow the Rules or Regulations of the applicable facilities, or violates the Terms and Conditions stipulated herein, the membership may be disqualified without prior notice. In addition, re-admission may be refused for the same reason.
  3. In case of disqualification or withdrawal of the membership, the membership card shall be returned to the Club Office.
  4. A Member may withdraw from the membership at any time. Such withdrawal shall be processed by contacting the Club Office via email or telephone. The accumulated points at the time of withdrawal will be revoked when the withdrawal procedure is completed. No cash payment will be made for the accumulated points.
  5. If a Member's account reflects no record of a hotel stay at the applicable facilities or no accrual of points for a consecutive 36-month period at any time following registration, the Club Office shall be entitled to revoke or cancel the membership of such Member.
Article 13: Notification for Members
In accordance with the Privacy Policy established by Palace Hotel Group, the Member agrees that the Club or Palace Hotel will provide the Member with information about points, designated hotels and related facilities by email, postal mail, etc.
Article 14: Use of Personal Information
  1. Personal information of Members such as names and addresses may be used by Palace Hotel Group in order to operate the Club and to send various information to Members by email, postal mail, etc.
  2. Personal information of Members shall be handled in accordance with the Palace Hotel Group’s Privacy Policy.
Article 15: Change in Membership Terms and Conditions
  1. The Terms and Conditions stipulated herein are subject to change without prior notice. In such cases the changes shall become valid upon announcement of the changed Terms and Conditions on the Club official website.
  2. If a Member uses the service of the Club after changes to the Terms and Conditions, it will be deemed that he/she has accepted the changed Terms and Conditions.
